Space Needle

Space NeedleOpened in April 1962 at the start of the Seattle World’s Fair, the Space Needle rises to 184m and is linked to the city centre by monorail.

Take a lift to the observation deck for a glorious city-wide panorama and with good visibility to the mountains beyond.

Close by are also the EMP Museum of music, science fiction, and popular culture, and the Pacific Science Centre.

 

 

Pike Place Market

Pike_Place_MarketThe world famous Pike Place Market open 19.5 hours a day, 362 days a year, has been in existence since 1907 when it was founded as a farmers’ market.

It is now home to more than 250 businesses, selling everything from fresh vegetables, meat and fish to used books and handmade arts and crafts.

 

 

 

Museum of Flight

Museum_of_FlightSeattle is the home of Boeing, and in addition to the Boeing factory tour at the company’s site approximately 30 miles north of the city, the Museum of Flight exhibits historically significant air and space artefacts.
